At our bilingual school in Wrocław, students thrive in a rich, multilingual environment that celebrates and respects all cultural backgrounds. With 21 nationalities represented, our community promotes the use of English and Polish, in learning and daily interactions, supporting each child’s language development and confidence.As an IB World School, we recognize the vital role of language in shaping identity, enhancing academic achievement, and nurturing global citizenship, empowering students to engage with the world as compassionate, curious, and confident learners.
Students interact with peers from 21 countries, learning empathy, respect, and global perspectives through language.
Learners engage daily in English, Polish, and German, strengthening their language skills while celebrating cultural identities.

Students practice with Flash Academy and other online resources, boosting their multilingual skills, confidence, and ownership of their language learning.

Students expand their language skills with additional options: German, Spanish, and French will be offered from Term 2 as part of the AERO World Languages curriculum.

Nursery
From day one at ASW in Wrocław, children are fully immersed in English. Care routines, play, songs, and stories are all led in English by native-speaking teachers, so little ones absorb the language as naturally as their mother tongue.Through sensory play, movement, and warm daily interactions, they begin to understand and use simple English words and phrases, building early confidence in communication in a nurturing, child-centered environment.
Kindergarten
In Kindergarten, English is the main language of learning. Native English-speaking homeroom teachers lead Literacy, Phonics, Math, Science, and library time through playful, themed lessons, while specialist teachers deliver PE, art, music, and movement in English.Children also attend Polish lessons every week, with hours gradually increasing, so they strengthen speaking, reading, and writing in their home language while thriving in an English-rich classroom.
Primary School
In Primary (Grades 1–5), students learn in a truly bilingual environment. Core subjects such as English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies are taught in English by experienced native-speaking teachers, helping students develop fluent academic English.At the same time, Polish-taught lessons in language, Nature Studies, Geography, History, and Technology ensure they remain fully connected to the national curriculum and confident in both languages.
IB Middle Years Programme
In the MYP (Grades 6–10), multilingualism is a key strength. At our bilingual school in Wrocław, students study English Language & Literature, using global texts to explore identity, culture, and current issues, while building advanced academic English.They can also take Polish as a First or Second Language and German as an additional language, with interactive projects that link languages to real life. Learners draw on their home languages, developing critical thinking and intercultural understanding.
IB Diploma Programme
In the IB Diploma Programme, students expand their multilingual profile through a wide choice of language courses. They can study English, Polish, and German as language and literature or language acquisition courses, and we also support less common languages through School-Supported Self-Taught options.Teachers and coordinators guide students in planning and reflecting across languages, so they graduate as confident, open-minded communicators with a strong global outlook.
Through a rich variety of language experiences, our students gain confidence and fluency in multiple world languages, opening doors to exciting opportunities around the globe.
Progress in all languages is tracked through assessments, tests, and projects. Teachers use these insights to identify strengths and areas needing extra support, ensuring every student builds confidence and fluency.
At our bilingual school in Wrocław, students engage in international programmes, competitions, and field trips, including ISP ILOS, Model United Nations, CAS projects, and Erasmus+, applying classroom learning while building creativity, collaboration, and global awareness.
